There are many advantages of solar power, for example it does no adversity to nature. Solar power is a clean way to produce energy. Therefore are different forms of constructions, to achieve the highest efficiency. For example the use of photovoltaic cells on roofs in big cities. These cells are able to generate electricity directly from sunlight. Many countries support these ways of energy generation with financial aid. One of the disadvantages of this type is that it’s very expensive and often it’s mostly for low power devices like a calculator.

 

A system with higher efficiency is the concentrated solar power. This system uses a big parabolic lens, trough or mirror to focus the sunlight on one solar spot or a pipe. This ways are cheaper and more effective than any other system. The major disadvantage of this system is that it must be moveable. That means that is must be adjustable to the sun. Another method, also the cheapest, is the parabolic trough system. This method uses oil, which flows trough tubes. These tubes heated up by the sun and transformed the oil into steam. This steam runs a turbine to produce electricity. Then the steam cools down and runs back to the trough. With this system you can up to 330 MW a year.
