  1. Oops! - Daylight savings time here in the US. -Kip
  2. Greetings from San Francisco. Today, not possible to check-in to this 18:30Uhr (DE) race. Anybody else have this problem? Thanks, Kip
  3. Dear Bernd, Thank you for all your hard work on Bikendaheim. Thank you for helping Joerg and me get started with internet biking here in San Francisco. You are a great teacher and a valued friend. Kip
  4. Thanks for your replies. No hard feelings!! Kip
  5. To my Cycling Friends: My Father fought in World War II and I think we can all thank his generation for their sacrifices. After the war, he married a German girl named "Kipke". (--> "Kip" = me!) Yesterday, Saturday, my Father died at the age of 97 years. Sure, he was patriotic but he absolutely loved Germany. I feel the same way. The American Flag will now drape over his casket and, after the funeral, I will keep this flag for generations to come. A friend of mine, a Doctor, a cycling buddy of mine, was recently killed in Iraq. A mortar shell exploded as he ran from his tent in a field hospital near Baghdad.(I am afraid that he died for no good reason in this conflict.) He leaves behind, here in SF, a wife and two small children. An American Flag also draped over his casket and his family will keep that Flag for generations. I was afraid to show that family what I do (racing) over the DaumServer because they would be hurt to see the flag hanging upside down. My friends, currently, it is difficult to be an American in the eyes of the world. We have an insane President who has us stuck in a pointless war. This situation is truly killing our country. We are usually a great country but lately we are screwing-up big time. Sorry for being so sensitive. Please remember that I live in San Francisco and, believe me, it is not like middle-America. SF is the most unique and progressive area in the US. If you have not done so already, you must all come to visit. You will, for sure, always have a friend here, me! And so, I apologize to Mike for jumpin in his Sh__t over the Flag thing. I am a little "sensitive" lately. It is a beautiful day here in California and I now need to get on my bike and ride up in the hills and smile over all the good things we have in life. See you on the DaumServer, Your SF cycling friend, Kip
  6. To fly a flag upside down is a traditional nautical distress sign. Either Mike has no manners or perhaps he is in distress. Mike, if your distress is finnancial, I can send you some money. Will this help? Don't stress, MIKE, I am an American and, as usual, I will always be here to help you during your times of need. If you are not in distress, then, please, NO POLITICS! LET'S JUST RIDE! Thank you, Kip
  7. PulsProgram?? Ich auch - das finde ich langweilig. (ich bin leider 135bpm von meinen Kaffee ...oder meine Frau... am Morgen...) bis Morgen (SF) Kip
  8. Hi from SF, Gerdern ride was great today. Ich habe eine Frage: Why no mulit-media from anybody? It's not that we really want to see your smiling faces but anything is better than a display half-filled with "Test-Patterns". Just turn your webcams on your sleeping dog, sleeping girlfriend, TV, or anything at all! Also, it is perfectly OK to say hello over your headset/microphone. I realize nobody wants to chat during the ride but just to test our multi-media capabilities would be a good thing, I think. Believe me, I am trying to get more American ergo-bike owners to participate on on-line racing but the German Language program is a barrier. For me, I struggle with keeping up on this forum. Too much colloquial and familiar German language. Ich nehme Deutsch Klasse at Göethe Institute in SF und die finde ich Hilfreich. Jetz, ich muss für die Deutscharbeit lernen. (I will get better...) Bis bald, Kip
  9. Hi Gerd, Thanks for all your good work! Kip P.S. While the daumserver was down, Joerg and I could not connect for group training. We used EWPP (2.0.1.9) with me (my IP address) as the leader/server. No connection! Also, reading on this ergo-bike forum, it appeared as though several riders in Germany ,at the same time, had problems participating in GroupTraining . Do you have any advice? Thanks, Kip
  10. Jetz, (um 08;45 Uhr PST) Verbindung fehlgeschlagen!
  11. Hello from (rainy) San Francisco. Shall we try to logon to the daumserver and ride today? Flatzer Wand . Ich mag Hügel) Ich habe heute die Grippe mit Fieber. Ich versuchen. Kip
  12. Ich auch!! Danke für schnelle Antwort. Ich fahre allein an Stübingtal. Tschüss, Kip
  13. Hi Marco, What happened to the daumserver connection today?? Kip (I lost all abilities to connect)
