Geringes Gewicht, Steifigkeit und Haltbarkeit versprechen die Hersteller aufgrund der Verwendung von Carbonfasern. Der neue, rote Speed-Dial-Knopf erlaubt werkzeugloses Einstellen des Hebelwegs je nach eigenen eigenen Vorlieben. Mit dem TriAlign Caliper Positioning System soll das Ausrichten der Bremse in Sekunden vonstatten gehen. Die Hebel sind links wie rechts verwendbar, mittels einer geteilten Schelle kann man sie anders umpositionieren, ohne dass man dafür Schalter und Griffe abmontieren muss.

Die Carbon-Juicy von Avid kommt wahrscheinlich im Juli 2005 auf den Markt.
