Derzeitige Notlösung

Hi,

solange die ergo_race-Software noch fehlerhaft ist, bietet sich folgende Notlösung an:

1. ergo_race über Check-In starten für die Darstellung des Höhenprofils, des Markers für die eigene Position und die eigenen Daten.

2. zusätzlich über den Browser die Testserver-Seite als Gast aufrufen und auf "Rennen beobachten" gehen.

Man benötigt hierfür entweder 2 Notebooks oder einen großen Bildschirm (die Hardcore-Fahrer tun's natürlich mit einer Hand am Lenker und mit der anderen wird ständig über die Taskleiste der richtige Screen in den Vordergrund geholt).

Ich hatte die bekannte Fehlermeldung sofort bei Rennbeginn.

Bin einfach nur so im unteren Puls gefahren , damit ich was getan habe heute.

Ich hatte keine Daten des Rennverlaufes :devil:

Hi guys,

Last night 3 of us tried to ride Donnersberg (23:00Hrs in SF) but only 1 could successfully login.

We believed the problems to be with us and so we tried and tried again and ran out of check-in time.

Questions:

1. Which is the better program to use. EWPP or EWRE?

I have:EWPP_1.0.3.1 and EWRE_1.1.0.0.

 

1. There is a problem with the EWRE 1.1.0.0 SW. Right? (after I check-in with EWRE, very little data is seen on my display. Only my Nr's. and my position on the race profile graph).

 

2. What sequence of check-in?

a.) First open the downloaded race and let it launch the program? EWPP vs. EWRE

 

or/

 

b.) First launch the program (EWPP vs. EWRE) and next open the

downloaded race?

I also have been using 2 laptops for just this purpose. I hope they fix the EWRE before my wife reclaims her PC.

 

One more question please. Last night, I checked-in for Donnersberg and it AUTOMATICALLY launched my EWPP_1.0.3.1, and clearly this arranement did not work. Bernd quickly sent an email to use EWRE (I have EWRE_1.1.0.0.) and this arrangement worked. (although, did not work to the full potential-as I read also happened to other riders).

WHAT IS THE PREFERRED SEQUENCE FOR CHECK-IN?

1.) Open downloaded race file first? (that then automatically>EWPP)

vs.

2. Launch the (EW)Program first, then open the downloaded race file? (as I did last night)

Don't use ewpp 1.0.3.6. :s:

The ewre 1.1.0.0 is correct - but the software or the software of the Daum-Server has a problem or a bug!

 

Wait --- i think a update is coming ...

 

But: Not launch the programm - only click the button *Check In* !

As Bernd already mentioned -> it worked with EWRE_1.1.0.0, because ONLY this version is compatible with the actual Daum-Serversoftware.

 

It doesn't make any differnce if you are starting the EWRE first (then doubleclicking/loading the race file) or automatically launching EWRE (with a doubleclick on the race file or making a check-in).

 

The racefile-Type is bounded to the EWRE (cause of a Registry-Entry in Windows) like a .doc to MS-Word

 

Doubleclick -> starts "bounded" application (virtually the filetype is bounded to an application) and than the file is opened.

 

But if the application is already running -> the file will be opened (no need to start the application, cause it's already running).

My wife also rides the premium8i. She even leads and participates in grouptraining using ewpp. (we have a total of 3 bikes here in SF) and she follows, with interest, the chat on this Bikeboard. Her interest in cycling and training with an indoor powermeter is good.

 

However, now she is complaining because I haven't given HER flowers for a long time.
