Thanks, I think that I went two steps forward but still something is wrong. I found out the following information from my router: http://img547.imageshack.us/img547/5261/f1xl.jpg Then I submitted the IP given for the ergo to EP: http://img594.imageshack.us/img594/5313/oh57.png I left ergo settings as they were, however, the result was the same old failure message from EP. Finally I did ping test and the result was following: http://img833.imageshack.us/img833/6494/5n5y.png No lost data, but destination host was unreachable. Is this an indication of some kind of problem?

Thank you Paul12 and yo_ca, it looks that I have now enough information for connecting ergo and PC. I will start with crossover cable, but after couple of weeks I can move my ergo and connect it directly to router. Happy new year for all ergo people!

OK and thank you! I will make an order for a cable and let's see if it works. By the way, how do the settings look like otherwise, are they correct?

yo_ca, thank you for offering help! I got that answer from Daum: “Sorry , I have no instruction in english yet and I´m just updating a PC to have windows8 . So please wait further for informations. Maybe the attached info can help ( second page ).” It looks like they have no idea how to use BT adapter in Windows 8 and I have to find out another way to connect my bike. Direct Ethernet connection is not possible at the moment (after couple of weeks it will be possible…) and I would like to connect ergo and pc via Ethernet cable, but I have failed so far. The following is from the attachment sent by Daum: a ) LAN - ( Ethernet ) - Kabel direkt zum PC oder über Router bzw. Switch Verbindung : Ethernet - cross-over Kabel oder über Switch oder Hub mit Patch-Kabeln ; LEDs an der LAN- Buchse des Cockpits leuchten Netzwerk - Einstellungen am PC im System: feste IP-Adresse z. B . 192.168.25.100 , Subnetzmaske 255.255.255.0 im Programm ergo_win premium pro/ ergo_win race edition : feste Adresse aus der gleichen Gruppe wie PC , also z. Unfortunately that didn´t work, but I found a page that shows how to connect bike directly to the computer, however, it didn´t work either. It looks that i´m totally lost, is there any English page with abc-instructions how to connect Daum and computer? I would like to use Ergoplanet software, unfortunately Ergoplanet pages are in German only.

Unfortunately I can´t write in German and I have to write in English which is very wrong language in this Daum world... Anyway, I just bought new laptop with Windows 8.1 and now I have no idea how to connect my Daum Premium 8i to my computer via old bluetooth adapter. I have original bluetooth adapter setup disk, but those drivers are for older Windows versions. I have done a lot of Google research but I can´t find any instructions in English. I would be very grateful if some of you could give some advices how to connect my Windows 8.1 laptop to Daum ergo via the bluetooth adapter. Thank you in advance!

Thank you, I have been already thinking some kind of dam against sweat flood and this looks like an excellent solution -> I will do that! By the way, my retailer asked me to send serial number of my ergobike. Do you know where to find that? According to the manual it is stored into cockpit which means not available in my case.

Thank you for your answer! Sweat theory fits well because just before black-out I was riding out of saddle and some sweat dropped on display. It looks like this a weak point of the ergo. I have already checked the battery and red/yellow lights of engine are OK. I have also pressed reset button of the display and situation is still the same. I will contact my retailer tomorrow and after that I can only hope that repair is fast.

First I’m sorry for using English, but I haven’t found any English language DAUM forums. I’m looking for help with my Daum P8i problem because it’s display went dark yesterday. During a ride display freezed and it was full of parallel lines. Wats were stuck to constant level; also all data in display stayed constant. When I restarted ergo the display was dark grey; there was some light but it was not working. I would like to ask if somebody has had same kind of problem and what was the solution? For me it looks like the display is broken. Thank you in advance!
