  1. Thanks for your nice review, alucard! I'm very happy to hear that you enjoyed this RLV. What did you think of the video/grade accuracy? This is one area where I focus a lot of attention on as in my opinion it is one of the key aspects in enjoying virtual riding. My goal is always to film with a very slow speed (max. 35 km/h). In fact, the 32 km took 58 minutes to film by car. Froome did it (on his bike) in 51 minutes Btw, I visited Sicily last June and filmed 3 RLV's on this simply beautiful island with its temples, incredible scenery and ancient cities. There are no RLV's from Sicily anywhere, so this is your chance to explore 'Sunny Sicily'. Very nice profiles and very 'trainer friendly' grades, too (except for the final 10 km of the Riding with Don Bici RLV - that's Alpe d'Huez but then much harder :s:). More info here: http://www.wagenvoort.net/tv/training-videos.php Video trailers here: http://www.wagenvoort.net/tv/previews.php Let me know if you have any questions! PS: I want to thank Stephan Oetiker for all his time he put in to create the ErgoPlanet files for my RLV's. Thanks mate, you rock!
  2. Hallo, hier ist der Jaap aus Holland. Mein Deutsch is nicht super, deswegen ander Ich die Sprache nach English. Hofftentlich ist das OK. Alucard, thanks a lot for your honest reviews. I have been in touch with Tilo in the past, but I found it difficult to test compatibility with Daum Ergometers. I also assumed that there weren't a lot of Daum users. How wrong I was! Stephan contacted me and offered me kindly to create the ErgoPlanet files. Together we created the EPM, EPP & EPX files and Stephan tested them all for me. Therefore I am very happy to be able to tell that my movies are fully compatible and tested with ErgoPlanet. Yes! So Tilo, EP isn't 'egal' to me at all. I just didn't really how to deal with it (because I only have a Tacx trainer). Hope you see that I'm not ignoring you guys, even though I do understand why you think I didn't care about EP after it has been a long while since we were in touch about it. I'm putting a lot of effort to make my movies as good and accurate as possible. I record the movies as slow as possible (Aufnahmegeschwindigkeit ~30 km/h) and I think it improves the riding experience on the trainer a lot. The TV4-Dolomiti ride indeed starts with the Furkelpass. A short warm-up is followed by a hard climb. Don't push too hard, there's a lot to come. After you reached the top you descent into the Pustertal, switch into the Antholzertal and then climb the whole of the Staller Sattel. Over 23 km with its iconic 4 km one-way road at the end. I tell you, it was quite a challenge to time it right as the one-way road is only opened for 15 minutes in every hour. It worked out, so I didn't have to cut the video The finish is after 41 km at the top of the Stallen Sattel, exactly at the border between Italy & Austria. I would like to thank Stephan for all his efforts - without him I wouldn't have been able to make my movies 100% compatible and accurate with ErgoPlanet. Finally I would ask you all a small favour: on June 7th I'm going to do something insane: together with a lot of other crazy Dutch people I'm going to ride up the legendary Alpe d'Huez 6 times on 1 day. This is an initiatieve to stand up against cancer. The purpose of this crazy idea is to raise as much money as possible for people who are fighting every day against cancer. You can support me by buying the film 'TV6 - Alpe d'HuZes'. I will film the Alpe d'Huez during the event (on June 6th). This will become a really inspirational movie with 1000's of people riding up the mountain, all for the same purpose. As an extra bonus you will get the TV5 - Elle Doglia climb (short steep climb also filmed in Sud-Tirol). The price is €15,-. Everything goes directly to the cancer foundation! I will make sure that all the necessary ErgoPlanet files are available (hopefully with support from Stephan again). The link to order the films is here: http://www.wagenvoort.net/tv/training-videos.php?tv=6 Thanks for your support! Gruss aus Holland! Jaap Wagenvoort http://www.wagenvoort.net/tv
  3. Thanks, Andreas! I have created and uploaded a version of the Posbank video with lower quality (same resolution, lower bitrate). This should fix the 'jumping' that you experience. Please let me know if it worked for you. I have shared the file with you on FlipDrive. You have received an e-mail with the direct download link. btw, I am planning to go out to Zeeland and do a recording there. Quite interesting scenery there, although it will be hard to simulate the wind :) Best regards, Jaap
  4. Thanks for your feedback, Andreas, very nice to hear that! Also thanks a lot for buying it!! I hope you enjoy riding the Posbank Training Video! Yes, the landscape there is very beautiful and not a lot of people know that these areas exist in Holland. Everyone only thinks the whole country flat. Even though that's quite true, there are a few very nice areas which I thought you guys will enjoy riding on our training. At least I do. The Posbank was my favorite training lap when I lived in the Arnheim region a few years ago. Now that I moved out of that place, the video still allows me to enjoy the ride and the nature It could be that your laptop is struggling with the video. The bitrate is quite a bit higher than the Tacx videos. I will prepare a Posbank with a lower bitrate for you. You will receive the download link on the same e-mail address as soon as I uploaded the lower-bitrate file to FlipDrive. I hope the download of the video from FlipDrive was very fast and the installation went smooth for you. Let me know if there's anything you'd like to see improved or changed. I am working on the Col de la Madeleine Training Video now. This is not the 'big' Madeleine, but the 'small' one, which is located very close to the Mont Ventoux. It will be a shorter film, but highly entertaining and useful when you are looking for a short POWER climb. The start of the video is in Bedoin (where you also start the Mont Ventoux ascent) and the video brings you to the top of the Col de la Madeleine, which is located at an altitude of 448 meter. This video will be even cheaper than the Posbank one (because it is shorter). You will be able to buy it for just 5 euro. You can keep an eye on the site to see when it's available (I hope to have it on the site in 2 or 3 days time). Then you can buy, download and ride that one as well. Hope these films add something you for, even if it is just creating more variety in your training schemes! I also did a new recording in Holland in another scenic area. Stay tuned
  5. Hi all @ BikeBoard! Here a short message to inform you that there's a new site to get brand new and high quality RLV's for Tacx VR trainers (and also the Daum Ergotrainer). The work by Carsten and Hannes inspired me to start creating my own RLV's. I use a GoPro HD (Full HD 1080p) camera and a Garmin Edge 705 to create high quality videos and very accurate grade changes. My videos are recorded in 1920*1080p (progressive = no interlacing!). I transcode the video to a resolution of 1600*640, which is the same as the more recent Tacx HD RLV. This resolution is optimised for TTS (see images below). My site is located here: http://www.wagenvoort.net/tv There is one RLV available now: a ride through the beautiful Posbank area (TV#1) in the Eastern part of The Netherlands. A great ride to have in your RLV collection! Hannes Schnellnast's great RLV Studio tool has helped me a lot to create the RLV's. Therefore I forward 1 euro of every payment to Hannes as appreciation for his work for our Tacx community. More rides will become available soon. If you have any question, please let me know! Best regards, Jaap
